What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pulmonary Services Clinical Educator position at UNC Health Southeastern?
POSITION SUMMARY
The Pulmonary Service Clinical Educator supports the Quadruple Aim goals of UNC Health Southeastern by working collaboratively with staff in the pulmonary department. The pulmonary service clinical educator identifies educational needs, plans, and implements programs using a variety of teaching/learning strategies. These educational offerings range from patient population-specific curricula to one-to-one teaching sessions with individual respiratory staff members. In all endeavors, the educator promotes evidence-based practice by serving as a change-agent, teacher, mentor, and coach.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required:
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Minimum of 5 years recent clinical respiratory experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Baccalaureate in professional field and/or related field.
- Credentialed as a RRT by the NBRC and the NCRCB.
