The Unit Supervisor is responsible for the direct provision of patient care and for assisting the nurse manager and assistant nurse manager with daily operations to include, but not limited to, coordination of patient care/outcomes, allocation of human and fiscal resources, communications, patient throughput, patient rounding, physician rounding, retention of staff, providing feedback to management team regarding performance evaluations, performance improvement activities, service recovery and compliance with regulatory agency requirements.
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Minimum of two years nursing experience preferred. ADN required. BSN is preferred.
Requires range of motion within functional limits. Requires frequently: pushing 40 lbs; pulling 80 lbs; standing; walking; repetitive trunk rotation-standing; manual dexterity; both handedness (both hands must be used) near vision; far vision; hearing (requires hearing whispered voice); Occasionally: lifting 50 lbs from floor to waist and waist to eye level; one handed carrying 15lbs; work kneeling; work squatting/crouching; visual color discrimination; and visual depth perception. In the environment occasionally exposed to wetness; slippery surfaces; ionizing radiation and accident exposure.
