The Procurement Associate provides support in the performance of the day-to-day operation of the Procurement function. Primary responsibility will be maintaining packaging and ingredient pricing files used by internal departments and manufacturing plants within Upstate Niagara Cooperative. Updating prime cost material pricing in the Ross ERP system.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Procurement Associate is responsible for the following activities:
- Maintenance of item master and price files in ERP system.
- Maintains all Upstate Niagara Cooperative pricing files and distributes to various departments.
- Set up new item codes for ingredients and packaging in the Ross system.
- Processing acknowledgements from suppliers, reviewing any discrepancies and filing with corresponding PO.
- Updating purchase orders for any changes from the acknowledgement and notifying Material Planner of changes.
- Works closely with Accounts payable Vendor relationship Manager to resolve any pricing issues.
- Maintain Procurement Department Seven for Success scorecard.
- Maintains project workload as assigned by the Director of Procurement.
- Provide support for the Procurement department and Material Planners.
- Collaborate with Quality Department and Suppliers for requires documentation in Our Records.
Education and Experience Required
- Degree in business or Inventory Management or related field with 2 years Purchasing experience preferred.
- APIC certification or matriculation towards certificate preferred.
- Good communication, presentation, interpersonal and listening skills.
- Strong system and application acumen. Familiarity and proficiency with Aptean Ross ERP, Microsoft office Suite, and QlikView preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position will primarily operate in a fast-paced office environment that requires a combination of team-based work as well as in-depth individual analysis. This individual must be comfortable sitting/standing at workstation for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as computer, phone, copier…etc.
Pay: $21 -$27 per hour*
