Duties
- Safely operate a passenger vans, to transport residents to scheduled appointments and events
- Follow all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and safety protocols during local driving routes and client pickups
- Maintain clear communication with passengers, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns professionally
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and ensure vehicles are clean and well-maintained at all times
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including heavy lifting or manual handling when necessary
- Manage GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient route planning and timely arrivals at destinations
- Adhere to all safety standards related to medical transportation, shuttle driving, and chauffeur services while ensuring passenger safety at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or shuttle driver with a strong understanding of passenger vehicle operation
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes to optimize travel efficiency
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when assisting passengers or loading equipment
- Knowledge of traffic regulations, state transportation laws, and safety standards for passenger vehicles
- Prior experience in medical transportation or client-focused driving roles is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple routes while maintaining punctuality
