Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring premises, preventing loss, and ensuring compliance with security policies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Manage conflicts effectively by employing de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution strategies.
- Enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance among all individuals on-site.
- Provide assistance during emergencies by administering CPR and first aid as needed.
- Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for review by management.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns or incidents.
- Conduct loss prevention measures to minimize theft or damage to property.
Qualifications
- North Carolina Security License is required
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in security or law enforcement is preferred.
- Proven experience in surveillance operations, conflict management, or related fields is advantageous.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be physically fit to perform duties that may include standing for extended periods or responding quickly in emergencies.
