Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an experienced Computer Aided Design Drafter.
Responsibilities include creating and updating technical, engineering, and architectural drawings using CAD software. The role involves closely collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure all design specifications are met, revising drawings based on feedback, and maintaining documentation for all projects. The Drafter will also be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- 7 year’s experience of technical CAD required
- 5 year’s experience in AutoCAD software program required
- Experience in CAD 3D drawing programs (ie. Inventor) is a plus
- Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering setting, preferred
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Aided Sciences, preferred
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares drawings and visual aids using CAD software (AutoCAD)
- Experience with Technical Drawing or Engineering Drawings
- Applies prescribed standard techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment
- Works with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet clients or project specifications
- Performs routine technical work and exercises limited judgment on details of work
- Acquires an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
- Records a written summary of data for all project responsibilities
- Create and maintains filing systems as assigned
- Prepares document deliverables
- Collaborate with engineers in verifying total design meets customer need
- Performs other related duties as assigned
