What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preventative Maintenance Technician position at UNACEM North America?
Responsibilities
- Perform Area Inspections of the plant to conform to a predictive maintenance mindset.
- Inspects completed work for conformity to statutory and company regulations, checks the integrity of equipment used, and ensures that all required tests are done before turning over equipment to production.
- Performs preventative maintenance repairs of all cement plant equipment (roller presses, crushers, ball mills, pumps, compressors, screening equipment, conveying equipment).
- Analyze all jobs focusing on safety and properly execute a JHA and WAE.
- Troubleshoot the cause of the broken equipment and perform proper repair.
- Responsible for setting up equipment for jobs performed by contractors.
- Maintains appropriate records, produces written reports and follows inspection schedules in coordination with Maintenance Management.
- Analyzes procedures and methods within the area of responsibility and seeks new ways to improve the area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A technical or Associate degree is preferred.
- 5 years of maintenance experience, preferred, with prior experience in the cement or mining industry desirable.
