Maintenance/Custodian ***No Weekends*** ***Day Shift Only

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE/CUSTODIAN

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the daily routine janitorial and maintenance duties required to operate a clean and safe facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Scrubbing, mopping, waxing and polishing floors

· Cleaning windows, fixtures, walls, toilets, restrooms, drinking fountains, furniture

· Snow plowing, snow shoveling, and de-icing paved walkways and parking lots

· Mowing grass and other landscaping duties such as pulling weeds

· Supervising clients in landscaping duties

· Responsible for some basic repairs

· Responsible for emptying waste baskets and disposal of debris

· Receiving/ distribution of maintenance supplies to various parts of the facility

· Maintenance of all cleaning equipment

· Responsible for moving office furniture, setting up/taking down chairs, tables, etc.

· Maintains adequate supply of cleaning materials/ supplies and restocks as needed

· Ensures cleaning materials are stored safely and in an orderly manner

· Locks/Unlocks building; Secures building(s), when not in use

· Safely operates all company-owned vehicles and equipment

· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS and CHARACTERISTICS:

· High school diploma or GED

· Must be 18 years old

· Experience as custodian or janitor preferred

· Self-starter with positive attitude

· Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and move objects. Must be able to stoop, stretch, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds. Eyesight capabilities must be sufficient to perform these functions. Hearing must be adequate to perform these functions.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver’s license.
• Pass criminal background check
• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Pass pre-employment physical exam
• Complete all DODD training requirements
• Complete CPR, AED, and first aid training
• Must pass annual physical examination

FLSA: Hourly non-exempt

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 Hours Per Week, Flexible as scheduled

PROBATIONARY PERIOD: 90 Days
