What are the responsibilities and job description for the Calibration Technician position at UMT Calibration Laboratory?
United Measurement Technologies (UMT) is a full-service calibration laboratory with two locations in Florida — Miami and Cocoa. We provide in-lab and onsite instrument calibration and repair services to customers throughout the United States and internationally. Our quality management system is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and compliant with ANSI/NCSL Z540-3.
We are looking to hire a full time calibration technician with a strong understanding of Metrology concepts and a minimum of two years of experience in the industry.
Calibration Technician Job Responsibilities Include:
- Perform calibration, adjustments, and verification of precision test and measurement equipment, to include but not limited to Pressure, Dimensional, Mass, Force, & Thermodynamic
- Strive for exceptional customer satisfaction and timely turnaround of customer's equipment
- Accurately prepare necessary documentation
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of experience in a similar position
- Basic computer skills
- Able to lift 50 lbs and climb stairs
- Valid US driver's license
- Outstanding customer service skills and attention to detail
- Experience with quality systems such as ISO 17025 or ISO 9001
