Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Front Office individual to join our local, well established Oncologist office. Helping patients feel welcome and comfortable are of utmost importance to our practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front office operations including scanning patient documents, providing support for front desk, and answering phones while providing exceptional customer service. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate medical records and supporting the administrative functions of our practice. Our office is very busy and multi-tasking is regularly required. You will never be bored in our office.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage phone systems to answer calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries.
- Maintain and organize patient files and medical records with attention to confidentiality.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient visits.
- Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and correspondence.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow and communication.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office is a plus but we are willing to train the right individual.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Athenahealth, Meditech, eClinicalWorks) is an advantage. We are willing to train the right person.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and file management.
- Proficient in using phone systems and standard office equipment.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
