What are the responsibilities and job description for the Raw Receiver position at Umpqua Dairy?
Summary
This position has shared responsibilities in maintaining the company’s SQF food safety and food quality system, complying with any applicable food regulations, and striving for continuous improvement in all areas. Testing and receiving tankers of raw milk into bulk raw milk storage tanks. Maintain an efficient work environment, promote teamwork, and ensure we produce the highest quality dairy products available in the marketplace. It is expected that this position will participate in the company’s safety program and also play a role creating a safe working environment for everyone.
Pay Range: $24.97 - $27.74
Schedule: Fri - Sun 4:00am - 6:00pm
- Climbing ladders.
- Pulling samples from raw milk/cream supplies and testing butterfat and record keeping.
- Hooking up hoses and pipes to receive and CIP milk tankers.
- Hooking up pipes to silos for milk and CIP.
- Washing milk tanks. Checking chemicals and refilling.
- Maintaining low inventory in the pig shack. Haul lab samples to pig shack.
- Environmental cleaning of raw silo room and bay.
- Clean case washer and case chain on roof and catwalk. Empty trash cans.
- Accurately input data for raw receiving.
- Wash 5-gallon cases in COP tank.
- Removing cases and cleaning breezeway.
- Remove lab trash.
- Clean FOSS.
- Clean chemical storage areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Must possess a Milk Samplers/Grader License.
- Minimum of 3 years’ transport/coordinating experience, preferably in a manufacturing/food processing environment with a transportation division.
