What You Will Be Doing
As our Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and managing health and safety programs in our chemical manufacturing facilities in Tennessee and Louisiana. Specifically, this will include:

Additional Information
This position is based at the Palm Commodities International, LLC facility in LaVergne, Tennessee and will also support a facility in Port Allen, Louisiana. Some travel will be required.

What You Will Be Doing
As our Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and managing health and safety programs in our chemical manufacturing facilities in Tennessee and Louisiana. Specifically, this will include:
- Leading monthly site safety meetings and facilitating safety committee meetings;
- Managing biomonitoring testing programs and ensuring appropriate protection measures are in place to maintain exposure limits below defined levels;
- Identifying and managing PPE equipment and programs;
- Creating and delivering new employee and contractor safety training and orientation;
- Managing job safety analyses and participating in occupational and process safety incident reviews, which includes assisting with investigations;
- Managing the site’s Risk Awareness Program and cultivating a strong culture focused on safety;
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring leading safety indicators;
- Supporting and participating in Safe Work Permit programs and retention of records;
- Maintaining working relationships with governmental agencies and ensuring all safety-related inspections reflect compliance with applicable requirements; and,
- Performing other duties as needed.

- At least 5 years’ hands-on experience with safety in a manufacturing environment;
- Experience providing employee training and making presentations;
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices;
- Team-building skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work well independently; and,
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
