Position: Medical Assistant
Location: Eaton Rapids and Charlotte
Employment Types: Full-time
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs assessment and documentation of chief complaints.
- Clinical Procedures: Conduct laboratory and diagnostic tests, administer medications orally or by injection, and ensure timely processing of prescriptions.
- Communication and Coordination: Handle telephone calls, triage inquiries, schedule tests and referrals, and provide appropriate patient and family education.
- Quality Improvement: Collaborate on enhancing care quality, maintaining practice standards, and engaging in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Certification: MA Certification preferred.
- Experience: Recent clinical experience within the last 5 years, or completion of a medical assistant program within the last two years. Previous experience in a medical office setting is advantageous.
- Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of a medical assistant program.
- Skills: Proficiency in age-specific care, strong team player mindset, and familiarity with EMR systems.
