We are looking for a part-time seasonal person to primarily powerwash and stain decks.

Job Purpose 

A Power Washer is a seasonal position responsible for cleaning and maintaining areas of the community as assigned by the Community Manager.  The Power Washer must uphold the UMH standards for professionalism, quality and safety in all work performed. 

Job Duties 

• Safely operate a power washer to clean and maintain  areas of the community

• Keeping a log of all work performed in the community 

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with coworkers, managers and community residents. 

• The position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned. 

Required qualifications 

● Experience safely operating a power washer on various surfaces

● Ability to prioritize safety in all job duties and attend periodic safety trainings assigned by UMH Properties 

● Time management skills 

● Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently to complete job duties 

Physical requirements of the job 

● Stand for the majority of the workday. 

● Frequently lift objects over 20 pounds during the work day. 

● Occasionally bend and kneel as required to perform certain power washer duties

Work Environment 

● Working outdoors 

● Exposure to elements of nature such as varying climates and weather conditions, uneven terrain, insects, animals, etc.

Work Schedule 

• Seasonal and part-time schedules will vary based upon length of season geographically as well as specific community needs.

• In-person attendance is an essential function of this position.

Job classification 

• This is a non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act. 

• Non-exempt employees will be eligible for overtime pay in weeks where total hours worked exceed forty hours.
