Job Description:
The Office Supervisor functions as a leader and consultant to other members of the clinic Acts as liaison between external entities when necessary. Directly supervises and coordinates the activities of Clinic Operations Representatives (CORs) and related functions. Prepares work schedules, training, evaluations and performance improvement plans. May participates in the work of subordinates to facilitate productivity and to overcome difficult aspects of work. Maintains departmental compliance records; processes orders and assists with the maintenance of clinic budget.
Required Skills:
- Advanced clinical knowledge of inpatient/outpatient Rehab principles and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of health care scheduling/registration related systems.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, delegate and supervise effectively.
- Ability to deal with different levels of personnel such as legal representatives, third party payers, patients, etc.
- Ability to analyze and supervise using productivity and performance tools.
- Maintain knowledge of complex regulatory (JCAHO), Medicare and third party requirements and ensuring all staff understand and adhere to standards.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in unusual or stressful situations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Adapt and respond effectively to constant changing service environment.
- Knowledgeable of healthcare financial procedures and an understanding of cash collection and training tools and techniques.
- Effective problem solving and leading team processes.
- Proficient in use of computers; knowledge of data base management, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Required Experience:
Work Experience:
Five years of related work experience, preferably in a medical office.
Ones of supervisory experience required.
License/Registration/Certification:
None.
Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
