Job Summary
The Lead Accountant for fixed assets, organizes, controls, and directs the capital asset acquisition and disposal process for the Hospital. Monitors departmental performance against disbursement standards and assures that Hospital and departmental policies are observed. Serves as backup to managerial positions within Fiscal.
Skills
1. Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
2. Working knowledge of computer and accounting systems. Participation in systems implementation preferred.
3. Ability to utilize thorough knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
4. Ability to utilize financial analytical skills effectively.
5. Ability to apply oral and written communication skills effectively.
6. Ability to utilize organizational and management skills effectively.
7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
8. Knowledge of Healthcare accounting and/or governmental reporting a plus.
9. Ability to support multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Work Experience
Five years of work related experience in Accounting or Finance required. Experience working with fixed assets in a hospital setting highly preferred.

Education and Training
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field required.
