Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Pharmacist at UMC Health System, located in Lubbock, TX. The Pharmacist will be responsible for preparing, dispensing, and managing prescription medications in compliance with regulations and guidelines. Duties include providing accurate medical advice to patients and healthcare professionals, monitoring patient medication therapies for safety and efficacy, and maintaining detailed records. Collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes is integral.
Qualifications
- Expertise in prescription dispensing, medication preparation, and inventory management
- Strong abilities in patient counseling, interpretation of prescriptions, and communication with healthcare professionals
- Deep understanding of pharmacology, drug interactions, and therapeutic practices
- Ability to adhere to stringent compliance standards and maintain patient confidentiality
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- PharmD degree from an accredited institution and valid pharmacist license in Texas
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
