Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT)

Overview
We are seeking a full time Alcohol and Drug Counselor to provide group sessions in an outpatient treatment setting, starting in July. The ideal candidate will be experienced with a combination of substance use and mental health recovery. This role will be mostly in-person, with some opportunity for hybrid work from home. We are looking for someone who wants to run nighttime groups Monday-Thursday from 6-7 pm, with additional hours dedicated to individual sessions and paperwork as needed. Starting pay rate will be $30 an hour, plus opportunity for a performance reviews after one year.

Responsibilities

• Create treatment plans based on client assessments.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions in an outpatient setting.
• Document treatment paperwork such as biopsychosocial assessments, intakes, diagnoses, and progress reports.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for clients.
• Offer addiction counseling as needed, supporting clients through recovery processes.

Requirements

• Substance Use Counselor must have one of the following certifications: CAC-AD (certified alcohol counselor), CSC-AD (certified substance counselor), or an ADT (alcohol and drug trainee)
• Experience in behavioral health treatment settings.
• Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in therapy.
