Job Summary
The Bus Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing motorcoaches to ensure every vehicle meets our high standards before leaving the yard. When buses are unavailable for cleaning, this position will assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to help wherever needed.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize bus interiors, including seats, windows, floors, overhead compartments, restrooms, and driver areas.
- Wash and detail the exterior of motorcoaches.
- Empty trash and replenish restroom supplies on buses.
- Vacuum/Sweep, mop, and disinfect all passenger areas.
- Report any damage, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized bus yard and work area.
- When buses are not available for cleaning, perform general housekeeping duties throughout the facility, including: Cleaning hallways, and common areas. Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining shop floors. Cleaning and sanitizing employee and restrooms. Cleaning and stocking the kitchen/break room. Emptying trash and recycling throughout the facility. Dusting and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces.
- Assisting with other cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Follow all company safety procedures and cleaning standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a dependable work ethic.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous janitorial, housekeeping, detailing, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work in the evenings.
