The Role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform painting and finishing related activities that meet company standards and customer expectations.
- Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and spray-painting systems
- Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and paint sprayer
- Follow standard operating procedures when using sealants, paint strippers, and corrosive preventative chemicals
- Read and interpret blueprints, work order requirements, and engineering documentation
- Comply with all safety rules and procedures.

Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and Licenses
Ability to pass a physical exam to determine pulmonary function in order to obtain respirator certification.
Computer Skills
Must be computer literate in Windows
Language, Math, and Reasoning Ability
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups employees of the organization.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and have better than average interpersonal skills.
- Ability to accomplish the following mathematically, in all units of measure: add, subtract, multiply, divide, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
