Supply Chain Manager


Location: Northern Colorado (CO)


  • $150,000 – $180,000

Umbilical Search is proud to be partnering with an industry-leading manufacturing company. The business operates a state-of-the-art facility in Northern Colorado, producing advanced technical products for diverse industrial, engineering and technology markets.


Following significant investment and continued growth, the company is seeking an ambitious Supply Chain Manager to lead and develop its procurement, supplier management and warehouse operations.


This is a high-impact leadership position reporting directly to the plant leader and offers a genuine succession path into senior operational leadership.


Key accountabilities:


  • Lead and develop a team of Supply Chain professionals, driving performance, engagement and capability development
  • Lead the next phase of Supply Chain maturity, developing a more strategic, data-driven and proactive function focused on supplier performance, commercial value and long-term business growth
  • Own all supplier management activities including supplier selection, development, performance improvement and rationalisation
  • Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies that improve cost, quality, delivery and supply continuity
  • Lead supplier negotiations, commercial agreements, contract management and escalation activities
  • Deliver supply chain savings through strategic sourcing, supplier development and commercial negotiations
  • Oversee inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics performance and working capital improvements
  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Finance teams to support manufacturing, new product introductions and business growth objectives
  • Establish structured supplier scorecards, KPI reporting and Quarterly Business Reviews to improve supplier accountability
  • Act as the site's Supply Chain leader, providing strategic direction, coaching the team and building a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement


Requirements:


  • Role: Supply Chain Manager, Commodity Manager, Purchasing Manager or related
  • Education: Bachelor’s / Master’s / PhD preferred across any discipline within engineering, manufacturing, industrial or business
  • Industry Backgrounds: Manufacturing and engineering environments with complex manufacturing
  • Management: Managed and led supply chain teams
  • Additional Experience: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Project Management advantage
  • Compliance and Requirements: ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance critical
  • Location/Visa: Must be a US citizen or permanent resident (no visa sponsorship) and based in or willing to relocate to Northern Colorado
  • Languages: English is a minimum requirement
