We're partnering with a well-funded AI company that's transforming one of the world's largest industries by embedding AI directly into complex engineering workflows. Their mission is to modernise how infrastructure and engineering projects are delivered, using cutting-edge AI to automate manual processes and help engineers work faster and more effectively.

They're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers, identifying high-impact opportunities for AI and building bespoke solutions that solve real business problems. This is a highly hands-on role that combines software engineering, product thinking and customer engagement, giving you the opportunity to influence both product direction and deployment strategy from day one.

What You'll Do

• Work directly with engineering teams to understand their workflows and identify opportunities for AI-driven automation.
• Design, build and deploy custom software solutions that solve real operational challenges.
• Own projects from discovery through to production, including deployment, debugging and ongoing iteration.
• Build integrations with legacy systems and third-party platforms where needed.
• Rapidly prototype new ideas before turning them into scalable product capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership to shape future platform development.
• Gather user feedback and translate it into product improvements that can be rolled out across multiple customers.
• Travel to customer sites to support deployments and work alongside users.

Who We're Looking For

• Strong software engineering experience with the ability to build and ship production-ready applications.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and translating business problems into technical solutions.
• Curious, adaptable and excited by solving ambiguous, real-world problems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience building AI-powered applications or a strong interest in modern AI technologies.
• Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, browser automation or document processing is highly desirable.
• Someone who enjoys moving quickly, taking ownership and wearing multiple hats.
• Willingness to travel as part of customer engagements.
