Description:
Serve as the office manager and coordinator of support for the Board of Commissioners Office. The executive secretary is responsible for transcribing, publishing, distribution, and maintaining all records of public meetings on a timely basis. This position will be responsible for scheduling meetings, providing public notice of meetings, providing administrative support to the Board of Commissioners, assisting the public in communication with individual members of the board or the board as whole, and dissemination of information to the public. Position will have access to confidential information and must maintain confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:

- Experience working in a high level, high visibility, and confidential administrative position required.
- Strong working knowledge of computer programs including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Social Media Platforms, and Website interfaces.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies; troubleshoot problems; and utilize technology to increase productivity and keep technical skills up to date as necessary for continued growth and success of the department.
- Must be a respectful member of the County team, which includes communicating and working effectively and efficiently with a variety of individuals or groups with diverse cultural beliefs, values, and behaviors, while maintaining a desire to be of assistance, and ability to understand the needs and positions of others
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to produce documents and, assigned tasks, accept instructions, interact positively with staff and the public, and accurate delivery of information to the public
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks.
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly and records are kept in meaningful detail.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently and exercise good judgment.
- Comply with Oregon State public officials and employee standards.
- Ability to be a Notary Public in the State of Oregon.
- Experience in a public sector environment, preferred
- Associate degree preferred.
- This position maybe required to travel to multiple work sites and for special meetings, assignments, or other related duties outside of normal work hours as directed by the Commissioners.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
