Design Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Design Engineer with strong mechanical drafting and 3D modeling experience to support the design and documentation of complex machinery. This is an onsite role in Flower Mound, Texas (near Dallas) and offers a collaborative work environment with strong growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate detailed assembly, weldment, and component drawings based on master model layouts.
• Perform engineering calculations to verify part dimensions, tolerances, and unit conversions.
• Adhere to budgeted hours and project timelines, ensuring assignments are delivered on schedule.
• Upload Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawings into SAP to fulfill parts orders.
• Troubleshoot and investigate manufacturing issues related to assigned projects.
• Validate and confirm the implementation of engineering drawing changes.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on experience with mechanical engineering drafting and design.
• Proficient in Inventor or SolidWorks (AutoCAD is a plus).
• Practical knowledge of machinery design within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal design and welding practices.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a related engineering discipline (e.g., CAD, Mechanical Design, Architectural Design).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
• Solid work history with no frequent job changes or long employment gaps.

• Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or DFM principles.
