This role is responsible for sourcing standard catalog items and commonly available components essential for the design and production of complex electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong procurement experience, supplier management skills, and a solid understanding of regulatory and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Source, quote, negotiate, and issue purchase orders for a wide range of commodities, including custom machined parts, cable and wire harnesses, PCBs, subassemblies, and specialized manufacturing services.Ensure all materials and services meet applicable regulatory and quality standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships through performance reviews, vendor visits, and continuous improvement initiatives.Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to support production and engineering requirements.Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to support prototype builds, manage part obsolescence, and implement engineering change orders (ECOs).Conduct cost analysis, support make/buy decisions, and contribute to cost-reduction initiatives.Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness, and take corrective actions when necessary.Expedite critical materials to ensure production schedules are met and downtime is minimized.Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with internal quality and regulatory systems.Compile and present procurement metrics, cost savings, and other purchasing reports.Support internal and external audits as needed.Benefits:Competitive compensation packageHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development and growth opportunities
