About the Role

We are seeking a Mold Maker I to assist senior mold makers in building, repairing, and maintaining Injection, EPP, and Insert molds. This role provides hands-on learning opportunities and ongoing training to develop technical skills in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior mold makers on new mold builds and repairs
• Disassemble and assemble molds safely and efficiently, including hot runner systems
• Accurately use micrometers, calipers, and gauges for measurements
• Operate CNC, manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and EDM machines safely
• Read and interpret shop drawings, e-files, sketches, and verbal instructions
• Perform routine maintenance on molds and shop equipment
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced team members
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Document work using software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Maintain punctuality, reliability, and accountability
• Contribute to achieving departmental KPIs and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in mold making, mold repair, or mold maintenance
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in precision machining
• Competence in shop math (adding, subtracting, decimals, fractions)
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Willingness to train and develop technical mold making skills
• Job stability and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years’ experience in mold making, mold repair, or mold maintenance
• Ability to conceptualize and plan work effectively
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Experience with CNC programming (MasterCam) is beneficial

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year

Work Location: On the road
