Position Overview

We are seeking an Integrated Test Manager – Warehouse Automation / ASRS to lead end-to-end testing strategy, governance, execution, and go-live readiness for a large-scale warehouse automation and distribution systems implementation.

This role will serve as the central testing and readiness lead across Operations, Engineering, Technology, Business SMEs, system integrators, automation vendors, and third-party partners.

Important Requirement

Hands-on testing experience with warehouse automation, ASRS, and material handling equipment (MHE) is mandatory.

Candidates with only traditional software QA or WMS testing experience will not be considered. The ideal candidate has practical experience testing integrated warehouse automation environments involving ASRS, conveyors, sortation, PLC controls, WCS, WMS, and system interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and own the overall Master Test Plan, testing methodology, governance framework, quality gates, entry/exit criteria, and readiness approach.
• Lead integrated testing across FIT, SIT, UAT, DIAL, regression, performance, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
• Build and manage integrated test schedules, milestones, dependencies, resources, environments, and deliverables.
• Coordinate testing across ASRS, conveyors, sortation, automation equipment, WMS, WCS, PLCs, host systems, and system interfaces.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, IT, Business SMEs, automation vendors, software teams, and system integrators to coordinate end-to-end validation.
• Define test scenarios, scripts, test data, environments, business validation requirements, and regression strategies.
• Establish and manage defect governance, prioritization, escalation, resolution tracking, and quality reporting.
• Validate end-to-end integration between warehouse automation equipment, controls, software applications, and business processes.
• Coordinate functional and operational testing of automation equipment, including rate, throughput, performance, availability, and reliability testing.
• Establish go-live readiness criteria and drive formal readiness reviews, acceptance decisions, and executive signoffs.
• Support cutover planning, command-center activities, rollback planning, business continuity, go-live, and post-go-live hypercare.
• Maintain PMO dashboards, RAID logs, testing metrics, milestone tracking, and executive-level reporting.
• Identify testing risks, dependencies, gaps, and schedule impacts and drive mitigation plans.
• Ensure testing activities remain aligned with the overall implementation and release roadmap.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5–6 years of relevant test management / test leadership experience in warehouse automation, distribution, supply chain, or related environments.
• Mandatory hands-on experience testing warehouse automation / ASRS / MHE systems.
• Practical experience with one or more of the following:
• AS/RS or ASRS systems
• Conveyors
• Sortation systems
• Material handling equipment
• PLC controls
• Warehouse Control Systems (WCS)
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Host/system interfaces
• Automation and controls integration
• Strong hands-on experience with SIT, UAT, FIT, regression, and integrated end-to-end testing.
• Experience with cutover, go-live readiness, and/or hypercare activities.
• Experience coordinating testing across multiple vendors, system integrators, technology teams, and business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of warehouse/distribution center operations and how automation systems support those operations.
• Experience with testing governance, defect management, quality gates, readiness criteria, metrics, and executive reporting.
• Experience using tools such as JIRA and Confluence or similar testing/project management platforms.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage complex, multi-phase implementation timelines and competing priorities.
