Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive experience
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in sushi or fine dining environments
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking efficiently
- Knowledge of food handling safety procedures and sanitation practices
- Experience in upselling, sales techniques, and guest relations to enhance the dining experience
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or nights as needed; nightclub or serving experience is advantageous
