Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently throughout each shift
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or portioning to support kitchen operations
- Support catering and banquet events by providing timely dishwashing services and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety compliance
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen and dining environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, food handling safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations including bussing, food preparation, and general culinary practices is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting the culinary team
- Prior banquet or hospitality experience can be advantageous but is not required
