Ulysses Development Group is a Denver-based mission-driven developer and owner of affordable and workforce housing. We strive to bring and preserve quality housing to communities across the nation through ground up development and acquisition/rehab.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Development Analyst will support UDG in all aspects of affordable housing acquisitions and development through financial modeling, industry research, and strategic analysis. The Development Analyst will support the team in efficiently underwriting the viability of new development opportunities as well as in the execution of existing development deals. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, thrive in a fast-paced setting and want to be instrumental in building affordable housing.
Key Responsibilities:
· As directed by VP of Development, conduct research to support all development functions, including acquisitions, due diligence, impact fees, utility costs, market analysis, construction costs, entitlements, etc.
· With guidance from the VP of Development, create and maintain financial models and project budgets
· Assist in tracking of timelines and schedules for projects in planning, construction or lease-up
· Assist in assemblage of consultant, design and construction project teams
· Research and gather documentation for RFQ/RFP’s and assist in submittal of responses
· Assist with land acquisition, including preparation of LOI's and purchase contracts with legal counsel, and gathering of due diligence materials
· Assist with financial closing in conjunction with lenders, legal counsel and other project team members
· Assist with preparation of internal reporting and forecasting in conjunction with the finance / accounting team
· Attend project meetings or OAC’s and keep minutes as required by the VP of Development
Qualifications:
- 2– 3 years’ experience in financial analysis
- Strong record of managing complex financial models
- Ability to have professional interaction with team members, stakeholders, government officials and staff
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
- Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
- Must be willing to travel on occasion
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate may be eligible for a performance-based bonus up to 15%, which is determined based on individual and company performance.

· Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office environment
