Role Description
This is a part-time, contracted, on-site role for a Registered Sonographer, based in Tallahassee, FL. The role involves conducting diagnostic ultrasound procedures, specializing in renal and scrotal imaging at a contracted urology facility. The sonographer will collaborate with medical professionals in delivering accurate and high-quality ultrasound imaging. Responsibilities include operating ultrasound equipment, maintaining patient records, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Adherence to healthcare protocols and standards is critical.
Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Thorough understanding of abdominal sonography and its applications in medicine
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with medical staff and patients
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively
- Previous experience in sonography or a relevant healthcare field is preferred
