Ultramar Restaurant is seeking Short-Term Seasonal Hosts/Hostesses to support our team during the busy Christmas and Prelude holiday season in Kennebunkport. This role is perfect for students home on break, local seasonal workers, or anyone looking for temporary holiday employment in a fast-paced, upscale environment.
Role Overview
As a Host, you are the first impression of Ultramar during one of the most festive (and busiest) times of the year. We are looking for friendly, polished, and reliable individuals who can help us deliver exceptional holiday hospitality.
This position covers Late November until January 1, 2026 , including weekends, Christmas Prelude events, and peak holiday dining days.
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests with professionalism and holiday cheer
- Manage reservations and waitlists using our reservation platform
- Provide accurate wait times and assist guests with inquiries
- Maintain an organized, clean host stand
- Answer phones, assist with holiday brunch inquiries, and support FOH operations
- Communicate with servers and managers to ensure smooth guest flow
- Represent Ultramar’s high service standards throughout the holiday season
Ideal Candidate
- Outgoing, friendly, and confident with guest interactions
- Highly organized and able to multitask in a bustling environment
- Comfortable standing/walking for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required
- Must be available for key holiday dates (weekends, Prelude events, and select December shifts)
