Join Electrochem Solutions, an Ultralife Company, where you will assemble and inspect components that power critical applications. With 1st and 2nd shifts available, you will follow written procedures to achieve exacting production and quality targets in a regulated environment.
A day in this role
You begin by setting up tools and equipment according to Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs) and Quality Work Instructions (QWIs). You move between manual workstations and automated equipment to build parts to print, then verify quality through visual and dimensional checks. When something isn’t right, you flag and escalate nonconformances immediately. Throughout the shift, you document thoroughly—completing Device History Records and all required manufacturing paperwork in alignment with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
You may package finished assemblies for shipment, pitch in on team-based problem solving and process improvements, and take part in our flex-break program. You’ll work under close supervision with clearly defined duties, and you’ll see how your tasks connect to teammates across the line. Safety and cleanliness guide everything you do.
What you will do
- Prepare work areas and equipment per MPIs/QWIs and standard work.
- Assemble components to specification using manual and automated operations.
- Inspect parts/assemblies visually and dimensionally; escalate quality issues promptly.
- Complete Device History Records and manufacturing documentation per GDP.
- Package assemblies for shipment as needed.
- Contribute to team initiatives for product and process improvement, problem resolution, and customer satisfaction.
- Build skills through on-the-job, cross-training, and classroom learning.
- Maintain a safe, orderly work area by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Participate in flex-break scheduling as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you bring
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing setting preferred.
- Ability to read English, follow detailed instructions, and interpret prints/blueprints (preferred).
- Comfort using microscopes and basic measuring tools (preferred).
- Prior light assembly experience (preferred).
Physical and work environment requirements
- Extended periods of standing or sitting/walking depending on operation.
- Frequent fine motor/hand coordination; reaching with arms.
- Some tasks require frequent foot pedal use.
- Lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to work in a Cathode area with dust/air quality considerations and/or elevated temperatures.
- Ability to work in a Dry Room with changing temperature and humidity.
