Lead Electromechanical Reliability Technician

Ultralife Corporation
Raynham, MA Full Time
POSTED ON 5/29/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 6/27/2026
Step into a day on our maintenance team

Your shift begins with a quick scan of the CMMS, prioritizing preventive tasks and any urgent corrective tickets. You’ll move from a semi-automated cell that needs a controls tweak, to a production line showing low yield where you diagnose the root cause using schematics and equipment data. Later, you’ll collaborate with manufacturing engineers to qualify a new machine, review CAD drawings for a fixture update, and coordinate a service contractor’s visit. Before close, you’ll log PM results, parts used, and corrective actions—keeping our operation running smoothly.

What you’ll take on

  • Own both scheduled PMs and unscheduled repairs for production assets with minimal oversight.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across electrical, mechanical, and controls; interpret prints and schematics, and leverage CAD to assist with blueprints/tooling updates.
  • Diagnose and resolve PLC-related faults and broader industrial control challenges.
  • Improve reliability by modifying equipment and refining processes; jump in with assembly/production tasks when needed to maintain floor flow.
  • Partner with manufacturing engineering on equipment qualification, debug, and restoration to service.
  • Identify, source, and procure parts and components required for maintenance activities.
  • Fabricate or modify mechanical components and production fixturing as needed.
  • Serve as primary contact for vendors and service providers, coordinating onsite work.
  • Verify proper operation of semi-automated systems and adjust settings for stability and throughput.
  • Monitor machine, tool, and equipment performance; correct issues driving nonconformance, low yields, or quality concerns.
  • Coach peers on equipment setup, repair techniques, and preventive practices.
  • Document work orders, PM outcomes, and corrective measures in the CMMS.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Schedule

This opening is available on a split and/or second shift.

What you bring

  • High School diploma or Vocational/Technical credential (required); Associate’s in an engineering or technical discipline (preferred).
  • 5 years in industrial maintenance or as a multi-craft technician.
  • Hands-on strength across electromechanical systems, analytical troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and prints.
  • Proficiency with computers and CMMS tools; strong initiative and work ethic.

Physical demands

  • Lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Work at floor level or beneath equipment as tasks require.

Proficiencies we value

  • PLC troubleshooting skills
  • Preventive maintenance and inspection
  • Equipment repair and maintenance
