What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yarn Operator position at ULTRAFAB INC?
JOB FUNCTION:
The Yarn Operator - Back Winding is responsible for the technical oversight of back winding production, including the processes and equipment. The Yarn Operator works closely with Machine Operators, Technicians, Supervisors, and other personnel as necessary to maintain a continuous operation of back winding equipment and processes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Yarn Operator/ Back Winding works with both Weather Strip and Specialty Products personnel in a team effort and shares responsibility for the safety, quality, and efficiency of equipment and/or processes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Proficient in setup, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance of equipment
- Monitoring and adjusting to production/ inventory needs
- Ensuring machine efficiencies meet set production standards
- Monitoring production to standard work and reporting findings
- Consistently engages with activities that identify improvement opportunities
- Ensuring safe work practices are followed
- Interfacing with shift supervisor and TGL on a consistent basis
- Other duties as assigned
