What You'll Do
Shipping Responsibilities
- Pick up daily orders, verify accuracy, and customer requirements
- Check stock availability and resolve issues with Customer Service or Scheduling
- Print labels, packing slips, box labels, and prepare Bills of Lading
- Prepare export paperwork and COD labels as needed
- Contact carriers and coordinate shipments as loads are ready
- Troubleshoot UPS and FedEx shipping issues
- Inspect outgoing shipments for product or packaging deficiencies
- Pull product samples as required
- Verify incoming raw materials against Bills of Lading and packing lists
- Unload shipments and arrange for proper storage
- Identify and report damaged materials or discrepancies
- Conduct incoming material inspections
- Run end-of-day UPS, FedEx, and shipping reports
- Reconcile shipping reports with shipping manifests
- Perform cycle counts as directed
- Follow up on late shipments, returns, and shipping discrepancies
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
- Support daily warehouse and production needs as assigned
- Perform physical material handling tasks beyond forklift operation
- Assist with yarn reclaim and material recycling activities
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including baler machinery, after training
- Maintain good housekeeping and follow all standard operating procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs
- Follow all safety policies and standard operating procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Identify opportunities to improve safety and reduce injury risk
- Report quality concerns with materials, packaging, or shipments
- HSD or GED preferred
- Previous warehouse and logistics experience required
- Forklift experience required (certification preferred)
- Experience with shipping systems, inventory control, and ERP/MRP systems
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work as part of a team
- Standing, walking, bending, and stooping throughout the shift
- Frequent lifting or moving of materials up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with typical industrial noise
