Position Description
Basic Function:
- Responsible for managing and assembling tooling projects, ensuring components meet specifications and deadlines. ⚙️
Key Responsibilities:
- 🤝 Participate in Pre-Build meetings to plan efficient manufacturing processes
- 🧩 Assemble tooling and verify machined components meet specifications
- ⚙️ Machine components using standard processes to required tolerances
- 📦 Manage assigned tooling projects to meet customer quality and delivery expectations
Principle Duties:
- 🔧 Assemble components into completed tooling
- 🛠️ Set up and operate tools to manufacture components
- 👨🏫 Train and mentor apprentices
Education & Experience:
- 🧠 Skills: Advanced math, basic computer skills, ability to read technical drawings, strong communication
- 🎓 Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a state-indentured Tool & Die apprenticeship OR 6 years as a non-indentured Tool & Die Maker
- 🛠️ Experience: 3–5 years building progressive tooling (metal stamping preferred)
- 📜 Certification: Journeyman Card in Tool & Die
