Responsibilities
- Perform fiber splicing and termination tasks with precision and accuracy.
- Install and maintain fiber optic cabling systems in various environments.
- Utilize an ohmmeter to test and troubleshoot electrical connections.
- Conduct field service operations, including troubleshooting network issues on-site.
- Telecommunicate with clients to provide updates and resolve issues effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including schematics and reports.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge in handling tools and equipment related to fiber optics.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in low voltage environments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fiber splicing, installation, and maintenance of fiber optic systems.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts and Ethernet technologies.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to telecommunications equipment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
