The Electrical Assembly Technician III is an advanced-level role responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems and subassemblies. This position requires strong technical expertise, the ability to interpret engineering documentation, and experience working with minimal supervision while supporting production efficiency, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced electrical assembly, wiring, and integration of components, harnesses, panels, and systems.
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and bill of materials (BOMs).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues in assemblies and systems.
- Conduct electrical testing using multimeters, insulation testers, and other diagnostic tools.
- Validate assemblies meet specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Support engineering teams with prototype builds, design feedback, and process improvements.
- Train and mentor junior technicians (Level 1 and Level 2).
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Ensure all work complies with company, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Accurately document work performed, test results, and any deviations.
- Maintain organized workstations and adhere to 6S practices.

Required Qualifications
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with electrical tools and test equipment.
- Knowledge of wiring standards, connectors, crimping, soldering, and cable assemblies.
- Experience working in manufacturing, aerospace, semiconductor, or industrial environments.
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems, automation, or control panels.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
- Ability to support engineering builds or NPI (New Product Introduction).
- 4–7 years of experience in electrical assembly or a related field.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
- Familiarity with safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, IPC where applicable).
