This role is critical to maintaining production flow, on-time delivery, and ramp readiness. The Driver II operates with a high level of independence, ensuring safe, timely, and accurate transport of production materials, while partnering closely with warehouse and manufacturing teams. The Driver II supports daily production operations by performing high-frequency material transfers between UCT facilities (HQ and 55W) in Hillsboro, OR. This role is critical to maintaining production flow, on-time delivery, and ramp readiness. The Driver II operates with a high level of independence, ensuring safe, timely, and accurate transport of production materials, while partnering closely with warehouse and manufacturing teams. Reliability, strong communication, and attention to detail are essential in this fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and on-demand site-to-site material transfers between UCT facilities (HQ and 55W)
- Ensure safe, timely, and accurate delivery of production materials to support operational needs
- Load, secure, transport, and unload materials to prevent damage or discrepancies
- Verify material accuracy, part counts, and documentation during pickups and deliveries
- Coordinate with warehouse and production teams on priorities and urgent shipments
- Maintain consistent delivery cadence to support production ramp requirements
- Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and related documentation
- Communicate delays due to traffic, weather, or other issues impacting delivery schedules
- Report all accidents, incidents, or vehicle concerns promptly
- Maintain a professional demeanor while representing UCT
- Follow all applicable driving safety regulations and company policies
- Participate in required safety meetings and training sessions
- Perform physical tasks including loading/unloading, bending, climbing, and lifting
- Support warehouse or material handling activities as needed

- Strong attention to detail with ability to accurately handle materials and documentation
- Ability to work independently in a high-frequency, time-sensitive environment
- Strong sense of reliability, urgency, and accountability
- Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple delivery runs per shift with consistency
- Basic computer skills (data entry, MS Office)
- Working knowledge of safe driving practices
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
- Experience operating box trucks, cargo vans, or similar vehicles preferred
- A plus, not required - Commercial driver’s license (CDL)
Work Experience:
- 2 years of experience in:
- Commercial driving, or
- Warehouse logistics / material handling in a manufacturing environment
- Experience performing frequent local or site-to-site deliveries preferred
