- Coordinate shipping, receiving, transporting, scheduling and stacking of incoming material with attention to detail - accuracy of quantities, lot numbers, condition of shipment, etc
- Coordinate deliveries & pick-ups from vendors and customers with multiple courier services
- Assist production areas with their supply needs of product, Raw material control and Finished goods control
- Coordinate ordering and receiving of required warehouse supplies needed with attention to cost and delivery times: Pallets, tape, strapping, etc
- Coordinate ordering and scheduled receiving of required cardboard inventory
- Coordinate all outgoing shipments; Examine all source documents to determine shipping priorities and methods required to ensure expedient delivery of customer orders
- Work closely with the inside sales team on all shipping & handling requests, and keep them informed of job statuses
- Print shipping and identification labels for various jobs
- Prepare custom ship quotes with multiple shipping options
- Determine space requirements and position of shipments for all sea-freight and/or air-freight container shipments including staging areas;
- Inspect all material handling equipment for defects and schedule required maintenance
- Assist with, or spearhead, all inventory cycle counts or inventory control verifications
- Meet deadlines while maintaining shipping accuracy
- Keep warehouse cleaned and organized
- Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, and procedures, conferring with owners, other managers, and staff members as necessary
- Good ability to work with a computer (Windows based)
- A sharp eye for content, strong attention to detail, and focus on quality
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills verbal, written; respectful
- Forklift experience a plus
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED
- This role largely supports many other departments within the company. Must be able to prioritize a flood of incoming requests/demands and efficiently execute projects to meet deadlines
- Valid NJ Drivers license required
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Previous experience working with UPS Worldship and/or FedEx Ship Manager a plus
- Basic Data Entry a plus
- Able to lift up to 75lbs
- Hard-working, assertive, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple ongoing projects
- Strong customer service & interpersonal skills
- Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work, and report to work as scheduled (everyday)
