Responsibilities
- Safely bathe, and dry dogs in a timely manner
- Handle dogs with patience and confidence, ensuring their comfort during grooming procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, stations, and work areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Monitor dogs for signs of distress or health issues
- Support pet health such as plucking ear hair, expressing anal glands, washing and scrubbing dogs until squeaky clean.
Skills
- Experience in dog washing with an understanding of different coat types and bathing techniques
- Knowledge of bathing procedures, animal restraint, and safety protocols for handling various dog breeds
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (20 lbs) when necessary to move or lift dogs safely
- Understanding canine behavior to ensure calm bathing sessions
- Previous bathing experience is a plus for understanding animal needs in a professional setting
