Staff Accountant
Position Overview
A confidential client of Ultimate Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join their growing team. This role will support key accounting functions including payroll, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically skilled, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Payroll Administration
- Process biweekly payroll using ADP, including review, approval, and reporting
- Troubleshoot payroll issues and support supervisors with inquiries
- Coordinate closely with HR on payroll changes, terminations, and compliance
- Import payroll data into NetSuite and manage intercompany billing entries
- Ensure proper configuration of payroll systems, including benefits and holiday programs
- Prepare and submit quarterly reports through BLS
- Monitor and reconcile AR/AP data imports into NetSuite from integrated systems
- Set up new customer accounts and maintain system accuracy
- Generate and distribute monthly statements to customers
- Apply customer payments and manage remote bank deposits
- Maintain vendor-related AP tracking for select accounts
- Manage banking activities, including wires, positive pay, and account access
- Serve as a NetSuite liaison, troubleshooting system issues and coordinating with support teams
- Maintain and update vendor, customer, and account information within systems
- Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax returns through the CDTFA website
- Ensure timely payments and compliance with applicable regulations
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank and credit card statements
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Support internal and external audits by gathering documentation and analysis
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities
- Evaluate accounting workflows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite preferred; experience with QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle a plus)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Working knowledge of tax regulations and compliance

Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
