Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Medical Collector to join their client's dynamic team in Rancho Mirage. The Medical Collector will be diligently following up on outstanding insurance claims and patient balances. This role is crucial for ensuring timely reimbursement, resolving denials, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations.



Responsibilities

  • Review and manage aging reports to identify overdue accounts.
  • Contact insurance companies to resolve unpaid or denied claims.
  • Verify claim status and appeal denials or underpayments as necessary.
  • Follow up with patients regarding outstanding balances professionally and compassionately.
  • Document all collection activities within the practice management system.
  • Collaborate with billing and coding teams to resolve claim discrepancies.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable payer and regulatory standards.

Core Competencies

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • High school diploma required.
  • ICD-10 and CPT coding preffered
  • Explanation of benefits interpretation preffered
  • Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid preffered

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 1st Shift

Benefits

Max Pay is $25 per hour. Min Pay is $23 per hour.
