We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized temporary HR Coordinator to support our client's Human Resources. Our client is a national retail & distribution company. This role is critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations across a fast-paced, multi-site retail and distribution environment. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support while maintaining strict compliance with HR policies and employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full-cycle HR administrative support to the HR team and business leaders
- Create, maintain, and update employee records within the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and data integrity
- Manage and organize employee personnel files (both electronic and paper), ensuring compliance with recordkeeping requirements
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and data entry
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company policies related to FMLA, Worker's comp claims & reporting, I-9 verifications & audit readiness
- Assist with tracking and processing employee leaves, accommodations, and related documentation
- Coordinate HR communications, forms, and internal documentation
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and records
- Support HR audits by ensuring accurate documentation and reporting
- Perform additional administrative tasks and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in an HR administrative or HR coordinator role
- Strong experience working with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG, or similar)
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly FMLA and Workers' Compensation
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience supporting HR functions in retail, distribution, or multi-location environments
- Familiarity with compliance audits and document retention practices
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
Contract duration: Four to five months
Hours: 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: $23 to $25/hour
