What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Superintendent position at Ultimate Staffing?
Assist Project Manager with project documentation, requirements, layouts, and schedules.
Attend pre-construction and project kickoff meetings.
Verify all located and marked utility lines with the foreman.
Oversee equipment and material requests/deliveries for efficiency.
Conduct task and expectation briefings with field crews.
Ensure proper return and site condition of equipment, tools, and materials.
Maintain communication with the Project Coordinator for inspections and material needs.
Communicate with client field representatives; quantify scope changes and report to Project Manager.
Ensure machinery and tools are available, functional, and properly maintained.
- Supervise daily construction activities for quality and schedule compliance.
Review progress prints, as-builts, and photos for accuracy.
Submit daily progress prints/as-builts and weekly progress photos through Field View.
Meet with the Project Manager for project planning and strategy.
Attend Operations and subcontractor meetings.
Manage multiple job sites simultaneously.
Conduct site walks with Project Manager and/or client for updates.
Ensure crews follow project specifications and scope.
Oversee final client walkthroughs.
Identify and communicate site conflicts to Project Manager.
Coordinate inspections, permits, and submittals with Project Coordinator.
Complete 9x9 forms for site visit reporting.
Monitor site cleanliness and proper hazardous material storage.
Ensure timely procurement of materials, tools, and equipment.
Inspect excavations and protective systems daily.
Monitor and correct unsafe crew practices immediately.
Ensure tools and equipment are in good working order; report maintenance needs.
Identify out-of-scope work and notify Project Manager.
Ensure Foreman submits trench logs, equipment logs, safety sheets, and time entries daily.
Ensure daily as-builts and weekly progress photos are completed.
Communicate all updates and changes from Operations and other meetings to the Foreman.
