CMM Programmer
Poway, CA (Onsite)
Full-Time | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
$20-$45/hour (DOE)
We are seeking a detail-oriented CMM Programmer to support our Quality team in ensuring products meet engineering specifications and industry standards. This role is responsible for developing and executing CMM programs, performing inspections, and supporting quality initiatives throughout the production lifecycle.
- Develop, test, and optimize CMM inspection programs and supporting documentation
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using CMMs and precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with machinists, engineers, and supervisors to support production and quality objectives
- Troubleshoot CMM programming and measurement discrepancies
- Conduct incoming material inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Support PPAP documentation, including control plans and inspection reports
- Perform audits and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate inspection records in ERP or quality systems
- Adhere to all quality standards and safety procedures
- 3 years of hands-on CMM programming experience
OR
5 years of CMM operation with program development exposure - Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Experience with CAD models and inspection software
- Solid math skills, including basic trigonometry
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality management systems
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, and fixtures
- Exposure to non-destructive testing (NDT), metallurgy, or finishing processes
