Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage groups of children in various camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor adventures
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by implementing proper behavior management and emergency procedures
- Facilitate positive interactions among campers, promoting teamwork, respect, and inclusivity
- Assist with daily camp setup, organization of materials, and cleanup to maintain a smooth operation
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp programs is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards working with diverse groups of children
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods during activities
- Passion for mentoring youth and creating a fun, safe camp environment
