Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, with the ability to assess patient needs and provide effective therapeutic treatments. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional patient service while utilizing various massage techniques to promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being.
This is a part-time position; we are looking for specific days and times
Monday and Wednesday - must be able to work until 6pm
Friday 9:00-3:00
Options to progress towards full-time in the future.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and treatment plans.
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and relaxation techniques.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment space, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
- Provide education to patients regarding self-care techniques and pain management strategies.
- Collaborate with other health professionals in a med spa setting to enhance patient care.
- Uphold high standards of customer service, ensuring a welcoming environment for all clients.
Qualifications
- Certification from an accredited massage therapy program.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Experience in pain management techniques and patient assessment is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Familiarity with various massage modalities including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
