Mechanical Estimator / Project Manager – Pontiac, MI

Pay Range – $110,000 and up based on experience

Scope of Work:

The Mechanical Estimator / Project Manager is responsible for estimating, coordinating, and managing mechanical construction projects from bid phase through project completion. This role works closely with customers, vendors, subcontractors, field personnel, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator / Project Manager with a strong background in commercial and industrial mechanical systems. This position will lead estimating efforts, oversee project execution, manage project resources, and maintain communication between clients and field operations throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits

• Prepare labor take-offs
• Prepare material take-offs
• Analyze bid documents
• Solicit vendor pricing
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals
• Develop project estimates
• Submit bid packages
• Coordinate project startup
• Manage project schedules
• Monitor project progress
• Review project costs
• Manage manpower requirements
• Coordinate equipment needs
• Coordinate material deliveries
• Attend project meetings
• Communicate field requirements
• Process change orders
• Obtain required permits
• Support billing activities
• Review construction drawings
• Maintain project documentation
• Enforce safety requirements

Requirements

• 7 years mechanical experience
• Project coordination experience
• Blueprint reading skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Procore experience preferred
• OSHA 30 preferred
• OSHA 510 preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Travel up to 25%
